Gibbet Hill Grill is pleased to announce the arrival of Executive Chef, Justin Urso. Justin’s roots in rural New England have helped shape his culinary style. Summers spent on his grandparents’ farm in Vermont taught him about fresh, local products, which he is still passionate about using today.
Justin’s professional journey began at the renowned Culinary Institute of America. His formative years saw him working alongside culinary luminaries such as Frank McClelland at L’Espalier and Sel de la Terre, where he built on his appreciation of farm-to-table cuisine. Subsequent stints under Markus Glocker at Maze by Gordon Ramsay and James Beard award-winning chef Mark Ladner at Del Posto in New York City enriched his culinary prowess, exposing him to the nuances of Michelin-quality cuisine and service. More recently, Justin helmed kitchens at STARS at Chatham Bars Inn & Resort, Catalyst Restaurant, and 907 Main.
A natural-born leader, Justin is dedicated to imparting his knowledge and experiences, serving as a mentor to his team while remaining attuned to the lessons drawn from his surroundings. He is a lover of pasta, and in his spare time he enjoys an excellent round of golf or can be found spending time with his wife, Kristin, and daughters, Mae and Eliana.
